Information submitted
A scan receives a public URL. Do not submit confidential paths. Query parameters and credentials are rejected. Our requests are visible to the scanned site and its network providers. Cloudflare processes connection metadata to deliver and protect the service.
Temporary processing
With checkout off, HTML and observations stay in memory and in your tab. We do not publish reports. Downloading JSON saves a copy on your device. When checkout is on, a scan is stored so the private report can be sold, then deleted after 7 days if unpaid or 30 days after payment. Application logs do not include page bodies or the scanned URL.
Abuse prevention
The edge rate limiter uses the connecting IP. D1 retains aggregate daily counts and short-lived host hashes/leases. Expired leases are removed hourly. Daily counts remain for up to three days. App logs contain durations, page counts and error codes, not submitted targets or bodies.
Analytics and future accounts
The Google Analytics script loads when configured, sharing connection and device information with Google. Analytics measurement is enabled by default on public, indexable pages and uses the canonical page address; our integration does not send submitted scan targets, reports, query strings or referring URLs. Google processes connection and device information and may set analytics cookies. Do Not Track prevents pageview configuration in this integration. No advertising or session replay is enabled. Persistent accounts and monitoring require separate retention disclosures.
Optional AnswerReady email
After a scan, you can email AnswerReady about that result. The scanned address is placed in the email subject only when you activate that control, and only in the message your mail app opens. It is not added to the pricing link, analytics, or application logs.
Lemon Squeezy checkout
If you buy from a scan result, the scanned site URL and the scan ID are passed to Lemon Squeezy at checkout. Your email is passed only if you entered one on this site. The pricing page does not send a site or a scan ID. The order webhook stores a SHA-256 hash and a masked form of the buyer's email, plus the site and scan ID, to match orders up for fulfilment.
